The management team of National Insurance Commission NAICOM, was a guest of Lagos State government mid week. The Commissioner for Insurance, Olorundare S. Thomas led the courtesy visit that comprised the Commission high echelon, the president, Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers, Dr. Bola Onogbogi and the Director-General, Nigerian Insurers Association, Mrs. Yetunde Ilori.
Thomas said the stop in Lagos for the sensitisation workshop for micro, small and medium enterprises to embrace insurance for their risks and remain on course to create wealth, was in recognition of the several firsts the state parades, the nerve centre of commerce and the unabridged “commitment to sustaining MSME growth.”
“Specifically, the constellation of deliberate policies, special programmes and projects, in collaboration with various agencies to boost capacity, access credit, enable trade are all commendable,” he stated.
