Members of The Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria under the banner of their various companies thronged the venue of this year’s health and fitness programme of the institute early hours of this morning to affirm that underwriting and good state of health are joint steps not only to healthy life but also healthy underwriting.
The venue, Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, Lagos, provided adequate space, comradeship, fun and entertainment, including exercise drills and dance attractions.
The CIIN president Sir Muftau Oyegunle said the essence of the programme is to make members conscious of regular exercises which he alluded has been proven by studies that exercise builds healthy body and invariably a healthy insurance industry.
Oyegunle said the industry needs a healthy manpower and exercise sustains that and keeps people in the stead to pursue their life programmes and attain their life goals.
The CIIN president said state government Covid protocols has foisted a review from the past fitness walk to taken time out in the open space provided in the stadium for insurance professionals to keep fit and attain the optimum health state required for a healthy insurance industry.
