Insurance companies operations for first half of 2022 have been categorised as moderate, this position is hinged on the returns forwarded to the insurers body, Nigerian Insurers Association NIA, by growing numbers that have done so.
The fair comment was made late August by the immediate past chairman, Ganiyu Musa at a press briefing just before passing the baton of chairman to another, Segun Omosehin.
Noting that the trend in the emerging half year result resonates with the 2021 industry performance, Musa said the performance for the previous year was N560bn.
“We are also getting from our members that have forwarded half year performance moderate growth for 2022,” and this he believed has surpassed N600bn mark and counting.
