The Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria will tomorrow, host the revered fellows of the chartered institute to the maiden edition of the Fellows’ Evening, at Colonades Hotel, Ikoyi Lagos.
The event set as hybrid, virtual and in-person, would create a convivial environment for the fellows to relieve their experiences, discuss, network and make valuable suggestions, first for the improvement of the institute and the insurance industry in general.
The CIIN has a unique tradition of referring to the seasoned fellows as living ancestors because of their wealth of knowledge, a repository that the industry could from time to time fall back on to resolve issues and sustain the ambience of a reputable industry.
Up until now the number of fellows stands at 222. However, this is set to change as the CIIN secretariat has opened the door for election as fellows; similarly, associates election has been enabled by same open door upon application.
CIIN statement specifies that applicants are to complete membership form with respective certificates attached and considered by relevant committees of council. While both cadres are to pay election fee, fellows would appear for interactive session. Certificates would be issued at the induction ceremony.
