The National Insurance Commission has stepped up the enforcement of compulsory insurances in the FCT Abuja as a pilot scheme and, briefing of the federal enforcers executed today in Abuja.
To demonstrate that the dormant times when the Commission kept violators in view were over, a joint task taskforce was briefed on the enforcement of the compulsory insurances in the FCT as a pilot scheme. What bears the semblance of a possible national staggered enforcement is expected to begin in Abuja in the next few weeks.
The workshop which kicked off Thursday, June 23 2022, is aimed at sensitising members of the Taskforce on the requirements of the law with respect to the compulsory insurances as well as the enforcement modalities to be adopted by the taskforce committee. which in the coming weeks will go tough and possible prosecution of violators.
The Taskforce is comprising of the Nigeria Police Force, the Federal Road Safety Corp, the Federal Fire Service, FCT Fire Service, VIO, the Office of the Attorney General of the Federation and the Federal Capital Territory Administration.
