It is indeed the ultimate scene of social contract for the alumni members of Federal Government College Ogbomoso, who scored double. First a reunion and second, a handing over of a new well researched-on borehole project to the school to mark the 30th anniversary.
This took place on Saturday, 16th October 2021, in the spirit of giving back to their alma Mata while ensuring that the current crop of students have access to water – one of the UN SDG goals in the current dispensation.
The event started of with various social reunion gathering of members in North America, United Kingdom and Lagos, Nigeria. It was concluded with the handing over of the borehole, renovated sets of toilet facilities and a newly constructed water-drawing point with five sets of taps.
Mrs. Oluremi Adekoya, M.D/CEO of Meatboss, ( pictured second from right and Mrs Abimbola Tiamiyu, DG Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria and students of the college), while handing over the project to the school authorities enjoined them to ensure that the facilities are well managed and properly used so as to ensure that the maintenance is not compromised.
She, on behalf of the set members, assured the school authorities that the set has a maintenance agreement with the project manager for uninterrupted use and in good order for the school community.
