Chief Olatunde Babaijde-Agbeja, (pictured above) past president of the Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers has been elected as the Chairman, African Insurance Brokers Association ( AIBA) for one year.
The election took place at the ongoing African Insurance Organisation Conference in Nairobi, Kenya and it is made up of six other members. Mr. Shuabu Ali, Ghana, vice-chairman, Mrs. Ekeoma Ezeibe, Nigeria, secretary, Mr. Yombo Bammeke, Nigeria, treasurer, Mr. Nelson Omobo Omolo, Kenya, ex officio, Mr. Shola Tinubu, Nigeria, ex officio and Mr. Baptiste Ntukamazina, AIO SG, ex officio.
There is a consensus by industry operators that the new officers would help the continental body to accomplish its mandate of broadening the practice of insurance broking in Africa.
In a similar vein, the President of the NCRIB, Mr Rotimi Edu, has expressed delight that the new officers would take the body to greater heights, based on their large columns of running achievements.
