The GMD/CEO NEM Insurance Plc Mr. Tope Smart has lost his wife, Dr (Mrs) Tonia Smart. Her demise announced today is a shock to the insurance and pension industries.
One of the sectors where her contributions remain a beacon, Professional Insurance Ladies Association (PILA) said her death was a “regret”. She was a past president of PILA, CII-UK Ambassador and one of the chief examiners of PILA, the statement admitted.
In their condolence statement. the body said “she will be dearly missed but definitely not forgotten as her impact on Pila and the insurance industry will continue to live on.”
While awaiting the funeral arrangement of the family, PILA wished her perfect peace, praying that God grant her family the fortitude to bear the loss.
