The synergy between the National Insurance Commission and the Pension Operators of Nigeria to turnaround the funds of the softly softly increasing Micro Pension Plan into a pension plan that will ignite viral success was launched today in Lagos.
This was disclosed by managing director Access Pension Fund Custodian, Mrs. Idu Okwuosa who doubles as the brand chairman of joint committee, said from inputs into an all new plan were done to provide informal sector subscribers what appeal to them and this has now been fitted into the plan, and enthusiastic Okwuosa said the pension industry expects that MPP will go viral.
The reloaded MPP has attached compulsory health insurance policy born by the PFA. For a start, three HMOs has been approved for the plan that guarantees three medicals, consultancy and pharmaceutical benefits. However PFAs not limited to the three HMOs, they could add to the list of three chosen by the regulator and operators but not to delete any of the chosen three HMOs.
Okwuosa said the the pension industry is optimistic that the the relaunched MPP has all the attractions demanded by the subscribers during the gestation period devoted to assembling the plan that meet the needs of the target audience, the informal sector. She said the expected result will eventually match the target set when the MPP was first launched over three years ago.
